How much does device pickup cost?
Each trip is free within 5 km, $10 from 5.1–15 km, and $20 from 15.1–25 km, plus HST. Apartment or condo service adds $5 per scheduled visit.
Which devices can ThrifTech collect?
We collect phones, tablets, iPads, MacBooks, laptops, gaming consoles and other portable electronics.
How far in advance can I book?
Appointments require at least 3 hours’ notice and may be booked up to 14 days ahead, subject to route capacity.
Do I need to provide parking?
Yes. Safe, legal and reasonably close parking—or a clear curbside hand-off—is required.
Is the repair included in the travel fee?
No. Transportation is charged separately. ThrifTech will provide or confirm the repair quote before repair work proceeds.
Can my repaired device be returned?
Yes. Choose “Pickup + return.” Pickup and return count as two separately priced trips.
Can my device be repaired and returned the same day?
Often, yes. Eligible repairs collected in the morning may be returned in the evening when the required part is available and testing is completed. Complex repairs and evening pickups move to the next available return window.
